This is a cheese lover’s cheese: strong, aromatic and made in relatively small quatities, Lanark Blue was at the forefront of the Scottish artisanal cheese revival.
Characteristics: moist, deeply veined paste; acidic, herbaceous, rich, salty with caramel aftertaste.
Best with: pair it with a peaty single malt.
